Ulva Island summer ranger - managed by Department of Conservation

 

A rare opportunity to reside at Ulva Island for 3-4 weeks in return for acting as a roving ranger

during the height of the visitor season (November to April).

.

Tasks include track maintenance, weed surveillance, visitor facility maintenance, cleaning toilets,

biosecurity advocacy, monitoring visitor behaviour and trap checking.

There will be ample time for other pursuits, such as bird watching and photography.

A single-room basic hut is located a short walk from the island’s jetty in Post Office Cove.

Hut has solar lighting, gas cooking facilities and can comfortably accommodate two people.
